Local London Libations part one…

Two consecutive posts (this one and the one that follows) regarding wine & spirits might give you the wrong impression about stylishmews. Let me explain…
A few weeks ago I went back to the subject of a previous post, Brixton Market & Market Row. The two women who conceptualised the great idea of A Grape Night In were conducting a wine tasting seminar above the über hip and trendy bar & restaurant 7 Market Row . Any excuse to return to Brixton on a Sunday afternoon was enough of a reason to hop onto the Victoria line.
Every Sunday from 5pm to 8pm, the wine tasting class, aptly named Sunday Skool, is held on the top floor gallery of the restaurant (an art space available to local artists in need of a place to exhibit their work). For 6 weeks, Laura & Kikki, familiarise you with an introduction during the first week, followed by 5 weeks of delving deeper into the specific topic of the course. Each class will give you a chance to sample 10 different wines, followed by a tapas dinner and a glass of wine.

The walls are covered with hand drawn images which give the room a whimsical and hallucinogenic nature.
The rather unorthodox venue showcases the latest work of Patrick Schmidt, a local artist. Asked by the proprietors of Seven to take on their smaller space above the restaurant, the walls are covered with hand drawn images which give the room a whimsical and hallucinogenic nature.
